Benchmark workout used by mixed martial arts fighter George Rush St. Pierre in his “Rush Fit” training program. This mixed martial arts workout sounds easy, but trust us it can be as tough as you make it depending on how fast you go through each exercise.

This martial arts workout consists of 4 exercises. Do as many as you can of each for 1 minute with a 1 minute rest between each exercise.

As many air squats as you can do in 1 minute. Number ____

As many sit ups as you can do in 1 minute. Number ____

As many push ups as you can do in 1 minute. Number ____

Rest 1 minute

As many burpees as you can do in 1 minute. Number ____

 

Do this martial arts workout once to see where your fitness is currently. Repeat in about 4 weeks to see how your fitness improves after doing workouts. Be sure to pace yourself if you have not participated in any fitness programs or you have not been active for a period of time.
